NY Mets vs KC Royals
Game 3 started between NY Mets and KC Royals with an up and in 98 MPH fastball that landed the KC leadoff hitter Alicides Escobar on his butt. It was a clear indication from the Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard aka Thor that he will make KC hitters a little uncomfortable in the batter box. I loved the fact that Syndergaard came inside to establish the inside part of the plate and came true to his word that he has “a few tricks” up in his sleeves for the KC but I also loved the fact that KC dugout didn’t back down either. You could clearly read Mike Moustakas’ lips in the dugout that he welcomed the challenge and was all fired up to take it to Syndergaard and the Mets. This is playoff baseball at its best, a fireball thrower, electric crowd and two fired up team.
Secondly, specially for the NY Mets fans as I could careless about the others, please quit your whining about Captain America aka David Wright after hitting the two run bomb and the 4 RBI game that he had in a must win game for the NY Mets after down two zip in the series and down one nothing after top of the first. The guy has my utmost respect for being a professional hitter. He can hit at whatever spot in the lineup he wants until he retires from baseball.
Lastly, hats off to Terry Collins, after the losses in the first two games, he didn’t panic and played the same lineup that had got him there. I’m a firm believer in what you got there in the first place will get you thru to the end so kudos to the manager.
Let’s go Mets!
